THE LITTLE TRAMP
Chaplin's character of "The Little Tramp" may be one of the most identifiable icons from the 1920's, as this character starred in many of Chaplin's films. This was done in order to separate Chaplin from other actors during this time period, and it seemed to work in success as more often than not, Chaplin is remembered by this character.
The character debuted in the 1914 film "Kid Auto Races at Venice", produced while Chaplin was under Keystone Studios.
